AUGUST 2

FIRST FRIDAY ARTWALK

Take a stroll down charming historic Main Street in Marble Falls for an evening of art, wine, and mingling. Shops, galleries, and more open 5-6PM.

 

AUGUST 3

KEVIN FOWLER CONCERT

The Burnet Concert Series presents Texas country artist Kevin Fowler and special guest Mason Lively at the Haley-Nelson Park Amphitheater, 1624 Buchanan Drive. Gates open at 6PM; music starts at 7:30PM. Tickets are $20. Bring lawn chairs and blankets — or dance the night away on a 3,000-square-foot dance floor. BYOB ($5 cooler fee). Food vendors will be on site.

AUGUST 10

‘LADY AND THE TRAMP’

Two showings of this Disney classic at the Globe Theatre, 132 W. Vaughan St. in Bertram. First showing at 4PM; second showing at 7PM.

 

AUGUST 15

MUSIC AND MOVIE IN THE PARK

Brass Hall’s Outdoor Summer Series features music by Rochelle and The Sidewinders and a screening of “The Blues Brothers” at Johnson Park, 230 Avenue J South in Marble Falls. The family-friendly event begins at 7PM and is free to all ages.

Beer and wine vendors will be on site, but you can also BYOB. Bring lawn chairs and blankets.

AUGUST 16

RAY WYLIE HUBBARD

Famed Oklahoma-born troubadour and Wimberley resident Ray Wylie Hubbard is live on stage at 8PM for the Globe Theatre‘s 2019 Summer Concert Series. Concessions, including beer and wine, available in the lobby. Locals Neighborhood Grub food truck serving brisket nachos, hamburgers, and more from 6-9PM.

The Bertram theater is located at 132 W. Vaughn St.

AUGUST 30-31

OATMEAL FESTIVAL

The 42nd annual Oatmeal Festival is a fun, and sometimes wacky, celebration of all things oatmeal in the towns of Bertram and Oatmeal on Labor Day weekend.

The event includes a parade, an oatmeal bake-off, a race and other contests, and the Miss Oatmeal and Mr. Groaty Oats pageants. Country artists Dale Watson and Jarrod Birmingham perform live during the Saturday night dance.
